Redman VERZUZ Method Man (Watch party)

Method Man, the only rapper to appear on Notorious B.I.G. and 2 Pac albums while the two artists were alive, is primarily known for his music as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan (“Method Man”). In 1994, Method Man released the first of his six solo albums including “Tical,” a RIAA-certified platinum album, and “Tical 2000: Judgement Day.”

Standout tracks from those albums include “Bring the Pain,” “Judgement Day,” and “Break Ups 2 Make Ups,” featuring past Verzuz guest D’Angelo, and “I’ll Be There for You/You’re All I Need to Get By,” Method Man’s duet — a wildly popular wedding song — with legendary R&B singer Mary J. Blige.

Redman, a Def Squad affiliate (Erick Sermon and Keith Murray) who debuted in 1992 with “Whut? Thee Album,” is known for a string of hits including “Time 4 Sum Aksion,” “Tonight’s da Night,” “Can’t Wait,” “I’ll Bee Dat”, and “Let’s Get Dirty (I Can’t Get in da Club),” among many others.

The two joined forces for “How High,” a track from the 1995 album “The Show: The Soundtrack,” and later parlayed their friendship — and charisma — into a film, movie soundtrack and TV series by the same name, along with other albums including “Blackout!” and “Blackout! 2.”

Poet and author Kevin Powell says the friendship between Method Man and Redman is tangible proof of how two highly successful creatives can produce timeless music while staying close.

“Method Man and Redman are not only two of the greatest characters in hip-hop’s history, but their deep friendship has endured across styles and eras of culture

Sources say "We are removing the trio's music from all Spotify owned and operated playlists and algorithmic recommendations such as Discover Weekly," Spotify told Billboard in a statement.Although removed from playlists "Their music will still be available on the service, but Spotify will not actively promote it. Woman claims she contracted herpes from Usher, seeks $20M in lawsuit
A woman who accused Usher of exposing her to herpes now confirms she contracted the STD.

The “U Got It Bad” singer, after a $1.1 million settlement with a woman who claimed he infected her with herpes, now faces a $20 million lawsuit from a second woman, who just days ago filed suit for $10 million and has now upped her demands after finding out she contracted the disease, TMZ reports.

Jane Doe, as she is referred to in the suit, reportedly found out the results on Saturday and was "devastated," according to the gossip site. She increased her demands after learning she tested positive, citing emotional distress, medical bills and punitive damages, according to TMZ.
She insists she never would have slept with Usher if she was aware he was infected.
The suit alleges Usher never warned the woman that he was carrying the herpes virus — and she only recently learned she could be infected after reading recent reports that the "U Got it Bad" singer paid $1.1 million to another woman who claimed the R&B star infected her with herpes.
RadarOnline published documents pertaining to the 2012 settlement, in which the stylist accused him of infecting her.
The suit alleges Usher Raymond IV was diagnosed with herpes in 2009 or 2010 — around the time he split from his first wife Tameka Foster.
The "Confessions" singer married a former executive chef for "The Cosby Show," Grace Miguel, in 2010.
Usher has yet to publicly comment on the allegations.

Rick Ross is a free man. After a week behind bars, the MMG mogul has been released from jail after posting $2 million bond.

Story By Sarah Lagan, Sub-editor/Writer For The Bermuda Sun

He’s rubbed shoulders and worked with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes and J Cole and the budding Bermudian producer vows to bring his success back to the island.

You may remember Shaquille Durham as one of the DJs in Triple Force who used to perform sets across the island where his passion for music began.

This passion, clubbed with his seemingly fearless ability to network, has seen him work his way up to studio manager at Premier Studios in New York. The studio records, produces and engineers for some of the most successful hip hop artists in the world.

Durham has just had the opportunity to work with Billboard-topping artist J Cole whose album Born Sinner has just hit the Gold spot on the charts.

“He is one of my favourite artists and he had just started working on the album he recorded at the studio.

“I assisted on the majority of his sessions. Myself, and the whole studio team, were given credit on his album — it premiered at number one on Billboard and it has gone Gold since.

“That is my biggest accomplishment so far to be a part of a Billboard topping album.”

Durham has also had the privilege to either meet or work with the likes of French Montana, Nikki Minaj, Buster Rhymes, John Legend and Trey Songz. “Some of these artists I have engineered for their sessions, others I have second produced for.

“I have sat in writing sessions for, and others I have just had the opportunity to meet and have conversations with and build relationships for the future.”

“Busta Rhymes has been in a lot lately. J Cole’s next album drops in September and we should receive credits for that as well.

“Nicki Minaj came to the studio — she has a remix with Busta Rhymes which is out right now called Work It. It is in rotation on MTV etc.

“She came to the studio to record the verse that was my chance to meet her and watch her work and record.”

Asked what the experience was like he said: “She was a great person she is real ‘diva-ish’ but she is very nice and very polite. She came and she worked where some artists come and want to party but she worked and left.”

While the former Berkeley Institute student is enjoying meeting and learning from the famous there is more to his mission.

Proud of his heritage, he hopes to inspire the youth in Bermuda and plans to, one day, open the first commercial recording studio on the island.

Durham graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelors in Recording Arts and a Masters in Music Business and he is gaining valuable experience at Premier Studios.

“I’ve always wanted it to come back full circle — Bermuda is the inspiration for it all,” he said. “I am inspired by my family and friends and I wanted to go out and do something great to share with them. I have seen other young Bermudians do similar things and start to break through that mould and do stuff that Bermudians don’t expect. That was the biggest inspiration for me. I have serious plans to open a commercial recording studio where artists can book the time. I want to give the youth different opportunities when it comes to music itself.”

Shaquille in a nutshell:

Which artists would you love to work with? Jay-Z, it would be a dream to work with him.
What’s your best advice to aspiring producers? Network. Even here I had already started networking with international artists. I would reach out to different artists to get different ‘drops’ and jingles for our sound and that is where the passion really grew. It is the most important thing in this and other industries. That and be passionate. Don’t let anyone ever tell you you can’t make it Bda is a small place and people don’t have expectations but if that is what you want to do you only live once don’t let anyone stop you from reaching them.
Which Bermuda producers you respect? Detrimental. Rian A Track. Shane Woodley.
Which Bermuda artists do you respect? I love and respect artists like Collie Buddz, Twanee Butterfield and Slanger.
What word best describes your style? Versatile.

The beef between Gucci Mane and Waka continued to heat up this weekend on Twitter. After initially offering to sell Waka's contract on Twitter earlier this year, Gucci gave fans an update on the situation, claiming Atlantic Records tried to buy out the "No Hands" rapper." "Atlantic offered 250 to me 4 waka. I fired my lawyer for passing me dat dumb ass message. Honest" said Gucci. Gucci then continued with a string of tweets dissing Waka, Waka's mother, manager Deb Antney and other Brick Squad rappers like OJ Da Juiceman. Gucci blasted Deb for allegedly stealing money from OJ and forcing him to sell drugs. "Tell. Bsm. Ya ma stole 500k from oj. Got my boy trapping at d texaco again." OJ echoed the allegations. "Only contract I ever singed was deb sh*t n***a know that#FACTS n***a never gave juice sh*t". OJ shouted out Gucci for his tweets. "Shout out to big Gucc I fu*s witcha thugg u know we came from the mudd #1000." Waka did not overtly respond to his former mentor and friend. The rapper did tweet such sentiments as "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. #imNOTexcited,"which seemed to be aimed at Gucci. Earlier this year, Waka explained on"RapFixLive" that he would "never" do music with Gucci ever again. "It ain't gonna never be no business, ever in life. No music or nothing," he vowed. "I don't feel nothing he say out his mouth. It ain't real."

Sources Say George Zimmerman helped rescue a family trapped in an overturned vehicle off a Florida highway last week, Zimmerman's first known public sighting since his acquittal in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

The incident occurred on July 17 in Sanford, Fla., near the intersection of Interstate 4 and State Road 46, officials confirmed to NBC News. The rescue was first reported by ABC News.

Zimmerman and another man were assisting a family of four when officers with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office arrived on the scene of the accident. A blue Ford Explorer had traveled off the road and rolled over, according to officials.

Zimmerman and the other man were helping the two children and their parents get out of the overturned vehicle, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said. The former neighborhood watch volunteer left the scene after making contact with police and did not witness the crash.

There were no injuries to any of the vehicle’s occupants, according to police.

A Seminole County jury found Zimmerman not guilty July 13 in the death of 17-year-old Martin. Zimmerman said he shot Martin in self-defense on Feb. 26, 2012.

Since then, Zimmerman’s family has said the 29-year-old was in hiding and had received death threats. Zimmerman’s parents said in an interview that they don’t even know where their son is hiding.

The verdict has prompted rallies and protests. Protests in Los Angeles and Oakland, Calif., turned violent as demonstrators called for an overhaul of the justice system and repeal of Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” self-defense law.

Man banned from youth cricket programmes

A man who threatened an off duty police officer during a youth cricket game was today given probation.

Kamal Trott, 36, was playing cricket at the Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club on Saturday with officer Caleb Jean-Pierre. The team was made up of under 12 players.

Mr Jean-Pierre told everyone to go to the field to warm up and Trott wouldn’t go.

The complainant asked him again to go to the field.

Trott then said: “Hey Pierre, let me make something clear, I don’t even like cops. I’ll take you out.”

Trott then poked Mr Jean-Pierre in the face with his finger, but the complainant held his finger and pushed him away.

Mr Jean-Pierre then warned Trott of his behaviour in front of the kids.

Trott then said: “I’ll take you out. You don’t know me. I’ll spray you after the game.”

The court heard Trott was arrested and charged.

Crown counsel Susan Mulligan said he had previous convictions for violence and threatening behaviour.

She also said 'spray' in that context means to spray with bullets, as in shoot with a gun.

Addressing the court, Trott said: “I apologise to the court. I didn’t say that I would spray him.

"I never said I would spray him. We had words and that was it.

“Afterwards we were talking and I saw the police come but I didn’t think it was that serious.”

Trott said he just started working three weeks ago and financially supports his family.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner said: “I’m concerned about a man like this. When I say this I mean a man with such a horrific record with violence and threatening behaviours, who’s demonstrated that he is capable and carried out threats that he has made.

“He’s served lengths of time in prison. Being around 12-year-olds in a sports environment, I don't believe in that kind of rehab.

“I’ll be crude, he doesn’t have a right being around children at all. He can’t do anything for them.”

Mr Warner recorded a conviction against Trott and gave him two years probation.

Trott must stay away from youth cricket programmes and must not get involved in any other youth cricket programme.

A California lawyer believes he's the one who can save Lindsay Lohan from jail ... and he's trying to join her legal team before she goes to trial later this month.

TMZ has learned ... California attorney David Wohl wants to join New York attorney Mark Heller when Lindsay's case is called on the 18th. As you know ... the judge reamed Heller for his incompetence and gave him an ultimatum -- either bring in a California criminal defense attorney who knows his ass from a hole in the ground, or make Lindsay say out loud that she gives up her right to a competent lawyer.

We're told Michael Lohan found Wohl -- who's practiced criminal defense law for 25 years and has offices in Orange County -- and the lawyer is ready and willing to help. We're told Wohl -- who has handled cases ranging from shoplifting to murder -- has been in daily contact with Heller.

But here's the snag. Lindsay hasn't given Wohl her stamp of approval. But even if she doesn't, MIchael has asked Wohl to show up in court anyway to force the issue.

As of Saturday November 10, 2012, 15 States have petitioned the Obama Administration for withdrawal from the United States of America in order to create its own government.

States following this action include: Louisiana, Texas, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, Oregon and New York. These States have requested that the Obama Administration grant a peaceful withdrawal from the United States.

These citizen generated petitions were filed just days after the 2012 Presidential election.

Louisiana was the first State to file a petition a day after the election by a Michael E. from Slidell, Louisiana. Texas was the next State to follow by a Micah H. from Arlington, Texas.

The government allows one month from the day the petition is submitted to obtain 25,000 signatures in order for the Obama administration to consider the request.

The Texas petition reads as follows:

The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government’s neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it’s citizens’ standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.

As of 12:46 am, Sunday, signatures obtained by Louisiana, 7,358; Texas, 3,771; Florida, 636; Georgia, 475; Alabama, 834; North Carolina, 792; Kentucky, 467; Mississippi, 475; Indiana, 449; North Dakota, 162; Montana, 440; Colorado, 324; Oregon, 328; New Jersey, 301 and New York, 169. Many more States are expected to follow.

A petition is not searchable at WhiteHouse.gov until 150 signatures have been obtained. It is the originator's responsibility to obtain these signatures.

The Texas petition can be reviewed and/or signed by clicking here.
