Mistah Wilson: Greetings, Glory Shalom! We are so honored to have you here with us for this exclusive interview with ThaWilsonBlock Magazine! How ya been?
Glory Shalom: I’m doing great and I’m honored to be interviewing with you. Thanks for having me.

Mistah Wilson: For our audience reading this, could you give us a quick background on yourself?
Glory Shalom: Yes, I am a Gospel artist born and raised in Miami, FL. I am a singer, songwriter, worship leader, and entrepreneur. I currently serve as the worship leader for my church, Glory to God Global Ministries. As a child, I was always really into the Arts. My parents noticed my gift to sing at a young age and placed me in pageants and different competitions. I also attended really great schools with specialized Arts Programs. I studied Spanish and took up chorus and learned to play the violin in Elementary school. In Middle School, High School, and College I studied Dance and also trained at the Alvin Ailey American Theater Dance School for a summer. So, I’ve always been naturally talented, which led me on the journey of becoming the woman that I am today. I’m just a woman that God has blessed with gifts and talents and I use them to glorify Him.

Mistah Wilson: You are undoubtedly talented with a vocal range that gives me chills every time. But, before we get into music, I'd like to discuss your Faith a little bit. What is your testimony to becoming a believer in Jesus Christ?
Glory Shalom: I was actually raised in the church. My parents, who are both Believers and are now the Pastors of the church I attend, trained my family up in the Word of God and taught us about Jesus Christ. It wasn’t until I went off to college, that I realized I had to develop my own relationship with God because just living off of what my parents had taught me wasn’t enough. It had to become personal for me. When I moved away from home to attend college, it was during this season that I began to stray from some of the things I had been taught and was living a sinful life. It didn’t take me long to realize that these things only led to destruction and that I wasn’t making the right choices. Also, doing things that weren’t pleasing to God, left me feeling empty and pushed me further from God. There was no joy in that life because everything was temporary and lasted only for a moment. I had a void inside, and I knew that something was missing. I knew that I needed to get my life back on track with my Creator. After this, I started to get serious about getting my life right with God. I gradually stopped doing the sinful things that I knew weren’t pleasing to Him and then He began to reveal to me my purpose. I read a book during that season titled, The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren, which explained that our purpose in life is to glorify God. As I started seeking God, He started to reveal to me that my purpose was only found in Him and that by fulfilling my purpose in Him, I would find true meaning in this life. From there it’s been a journey of walking with God day by day.

Mistah Wilson: What were some situations you went thru in your life that called for you to muster up Faith?
Glory Shalom: It takes faith to come to God and to trust Him with your life. The bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God, but whoever comes to God must believe that God exists and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). It took faith for me to trust that God’s plans for me were much better than I could ever imagine and it took faith to pursue the dreams that he had placed in my heart. The more that I trusted Him and stepped out on faith, the more He began to open doors and just do extraordinary things with my life.

Mistah Wilson: What are some strategies you use to help eliminate sin in your life?
Glory Shalom: For me personally, I have to guard...

Mistah Wilson: Yo, Quest! What's tha deal, fam! Thanks for joining ThaWilsonBlock Network and coming thru for this exclusive interview with thawilsonMAG. How's life treating you?
QuesThorough: Life is amazing! God has opened doors that I never dreamed of walking through! The music has been the catalyst for new relationships and I recently celebrated 1 year as a home owner with my wife and children! 12 years ago we were homeless and now home owners! ONLY GOD! My song guiding my way is my testimony of that experience.

Mistah Wilson: For your audience reading this, could you hit us with a quick background on yourself?
QuesThorough: I’m a married father of 7 children, 6 girls and 1 boy! I’ve been with my wife for 26 years. We will be celebrating 21 years of marriage this October 28th! My entire family is musically inclined! So music came natural to me. I’ve been rapping and singing since I was a youngster! Rap music wasn’t accepted in my household growing up though. Pops didn’t respect it as real music so I kept my passion for it hidden. I spent the majority of my adolescence singing in choirs and an ensemble. I only rapped amongst my close friends and family.

10 of DMX most impactful songs

10775564256?profile=original Getty Today, in memory of X, who passed away of a heart attack on April 9, THISIS80 takes a look at his 11 most impactful songs. Check out the list below.

1. "Slippn"

2. "Ruff Ryders Anthem"

Funfact : Would you believe that DMX never wanted to do this song ? According to Swizz Beatz X thought the track had too much of a rock influence for him to hop on, but Ruff Ryders’ co-founders Darrin and Joaquin Dean convinced him to do it , and the rest is history.
This joint has been a staple in Hip-hop from the very first day it hit the airwaves ~ 80minassassin

3."Party Up in here "

According to Revolt TV, THIS IS the raucous anthem that served as the second single from DMX’s 1999 album ...And Then There Was X. As its title implies, this one sees DMX let loose, and it’s all about the vibes — even if his customary death threats are still present. The hook is designed for repeating and the beat demands that you blast it as loud as you can, so it’s no surprise this became one of X’s most indelible bangers. It also peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it his highest-charting solo song ever.

Although essentially this is LL Cool J's record X completely owned it (No diss LL) as he combined casual threats and clever turns of phrase for a verse that further established his artistic ethos. “Let me get what’s between your sock, cause it’s better to give/Than receive, believe what I say when I tell you/Don’t make me put you somewhere where nobody’ll smell you,” X barks, with his last bar being the sort of inventive death threat only the best rappers can deliver. The year was 97'

"This will forever be a personal favorite of mine , all the MCS delivered on this joint, but when X came in with that first line it was a wrap ! " ~ 80minassassin

5."Get at me dog"
This was X'S Break through record (1st single) that made everyone fall in love with him.The opening of the verse, was everything sing it with me “What must I go through to show you shit is real?/And I ain’t really never gave a fuck how niggas feel.” The track went on to go gold just three months after it was released in and obviously, it was the first of many.

6."Money power respect"

Leading up to the release of his debut album, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot, DMX had a string of stellar guest spots that helped get the world at large familiar with his sound. The LOX’s Lil Kim-assisted single “Money, Power, Respect” was one of them. Hopping on a track with other rap legends in the making, X more than held his own with a gruff delivery and memorably gruesome bars that could outmatch anyone else’s. Plus, this one peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which is the best of X’s career.

"I still get the chills when this comes on wherever and Bar for bar I can still recite this like it was yesterday, forever classickkkkkkkk" ~ 80minassassin

On X'S First album It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot, the devil makes a cameo appearance,on “Damien,” a song that finds X making a deal with a dude from ’round the way that happens to be Satan in disguise. Over the course of the story telling track, X sells his soul to the devil in order to level up in his career, and the result is a plethora of murders. This track shows X had storytelling down to a 'T' & makes it one of the most iconic in his catalog.

8."X Gon Give It To Ya"
Another classic banger from X Off the ' Romeo must die' soundtrack. No matter what emotion you felt X always made it a point that ' he gon give it to ya ' raw and uncut best believe.“I’m a wolf in sheep’s clothing/Only nigga that you know who can chill, come back and get the streets open/I’ve been doin’ this for 19 years/Niggas wanna fight me? Fight these tears,” he raps, pouring out his soul in the process. This one peaked at No. 60 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but it got a second life after it was included on the Deadpool soundtrack in 2016. It was certified platinum in 2017.
9."How's it goin down"
“How’s It Goin’ Down,” the charming single from X'S It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot album is a Mix of conversational flow and convincing warmth with detail straight from the streets of Yonkers, X remakes rap love songs in his own image. Here, having your girl move the pack for you is just as ordinary as having her pick up something from the corner store, and threatening to beat up her baby’s father —rather than killing him — is a sensible compromise. X’s smooth delivery and a smooth Dame Grease beat sell the angle and as a whole, “How’s It Goin’ Down” proves X is the total package.

10. "Ready to meet him"

This has to be one of X'S most impactful songs to this date. X has a whole conversation with god on 'Ready to meet him where he raps (lyrics)

"We each walk the path, that you've chosen

I'm ready to meet him 'cause where I'm livin' ain't right
Black hate white, white hate black, it's right back to the same fight
They got us suspectin' a war
But the real war is to follow the law of the Lord

Lord, you left me stranded, and I don't know why
Told me to live my life, now I'm ready to die
Ready to fly, I cry, but I shed no tears
You told me you would dead those fears, it's been years

Snakes still comin' at me, just missin'
Sometimes I think all you do with me is just listen
I thought that I was special, that's what you told me
Homey, stop actin' like you don't know me

What'd I do so bad that it sent you away from me?
Not only sent you away, but made you stay away from me?
My child I'm here, as I've always been
It is you who went away and now are back again

What did I say? Follow your word, and be true
What did you do? Well, what I wanted to do
What have you seen? Darkness and hell at a glance
What do you want? All I want is another chance

I'm ready to meet him 'cause where I'm livin' ain't right
Black hate white, white hate black, it's right back to the same fight
They got us suspectin' a war
But the real war is to follow the law of the Lord

I'm ready to meet him 'cause where I'm livin' ain't right
Black hate white, white hate black, it's right back to the same fight
They got us suspectin' a war
But the real war is to follow the law of the Lord

Just because you went away, my doors are not locked
Wanna come back home? All you gotta do is knock
You see I left home a boy, but returned as a man
Full grown, and I'm still not able to stand

I gave you a hand, well, but I was lookin' the wrong way
Figured out the plan, then I started to pray
And that prayer, took me from here over there
Back to over here, now it got me like

Where do I belong, do I fit in?
Things on my mind, where do I begin?
It's easier to sin, but it hurts my heart
I'm really tryin' to win, so where do we start?

Thou shalt not steal, but what if he stole from me?
Thou shalt not kill, but what if he's tryin' to kill me?
Thou shalt not take my name in vain
No matter how hard it rains, withstand the pain

I'm ready to meet him 'cause where I'm livin' ain't right
Black hate white, white hate black, it's right back to the same fight
They got us suspectin' a war
But the real war is to follow the law of the Lord

I'm ready to meet him 'cause where I'm livin' ain't right
Black hate white, white hate black, it's right back to the same fight
They got us suspectin' a war
But the real war is to follow the law of the Lord

I'm ready to meet him, our father, who art in Heaven
I'm not ashamed to ask for guidance at twenty seven
No longer afraid to knock on your door
Not scared anymore to lose my life in the war

After what I just saw, I'm ridin' with the Lord
'Cause I really can't afford to lose my head by the sword
And now that I've seen, what I need to see
Please take me, where I need to be

What have you learned? It's better to tell the truth than to lie
What have you learned? To love my life until I die
What have you learned? Violence isn't always the key
What have you learned? You can't always believe what you see

What have you learned? It's better to forgive and forget
What have you learned? Give as you expect to get
What have you learned? That I can't go on without you
What have you learned? I musta been a fool to ever doubt you

I'm ready to meet him
I'm ready to meet him
I'm ready to meet him
I'm ready to meet him
I'm ready to meet him "

This is one of DMX'S most clever songs!

Redman VERZUZ Method Man (Watch party)

Method Man, the only rapper to appear on Notorious B.I.G. and 2 Pac albums while the two artists were alive, is primarily known for his music as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan (“Method Man”). In 1994, Method Man released the first of his six solo albums including “Tical,” a RIAA-certified platinum album, and “Tical 2000: Judgement Day.”

Standout tracks from those albums include “Bring the Pain,” “Judgement Day,” and “Break Ups 2 Make Ups,” featuring past Verzuz guest D’Angelo, and “I’ll Be There for You/You’re All I Need to Get By,” Method Man’s duet — a wildly popular wedding song — with legendary R&B singer Mary J. Blige.

Redman, a Def Squad affiliate (Erick Sermon and Keith Murray) who debuted in 1992 with “Whut? Thee Album,” is known for a string of hits including “Time 4 Sum Aksion,” “Tonight’s da Night,” “Can’t Wait,” “I’ll Bee Dat”, and “Let’s Get Dirty (I Can’t Get in da Club),” among many others.

The two joined forces for “How High,” a track from the 1995 album “The Show: The Soundtrack,” and later parlayed their friendship — and charisma — into a film, movie soundtrack and TV series by the same name, along with other albums including “Blackout!” and “Blackout! 2.”

Poet and author Kevin Powell says the friendship between Method Man and Redman is tangible proof of how two highly successful creatives can produce timeless music while staying close.

“Method Man and Redman are not only two of the greatest characters in hip-hop’s history, but their deep friendship has endured across styles and eras of culture

After Megan said that Tory shot her on July 12, he released an entire album to argue that he’s innocent

Posted by 80 for @80promos

Tory Lanez had the internet in a frenzy after he randomly took to his twitter account and announced

well 9PM came and went with no sign of Lanez while having millions of people waiting to hear his side of the story on what had happenned on the night in question (TBH I went sleep waiting only to wake from the powernap ) to see Lanez  has finally broken his silence on the Meg Thee Stallion incident but it was'nt the way the fans expected instead of doing a live to clear his name he did it on his newly released album called DAYSTAR, which is pretty much a concept album about Megan Thee Stallion’s claim that he shot her in July. He claims on the album that he was “framed.” “How the fuck you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons,” he sings in “Money Over Fallouts.”

Throughout the project, he repeatedly references the backlash against him (and includes samples of people talking about the incident), mentions Megan’s Instagram Live comments about him, and generally references “cancel culture.” He raps that he’s “innocent” on “The Most High” and makes several references to Megan’s management team at Roc Nation.

On “Friends Become Strangers,” he alludes to his private conversations with Megan and responds to her claims about the night of the alleged shooting. “We both know what happened that night and what I did,” he raps. He mentions Megan by name on “Sorry But I Had To” and says she should’ve contacted him directly: “You could’ve asked ‘n-a what happened, did you do it?’”

He also repeatedly mentions Kehlani, saying how she removed him from a deluxe version of her album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t. “Don’t take me off the deluxe album that no one gives a fuck about,” he jabs on the track “Bittersweet.”

DAYSTAR addresses an incident that transpired on July 12, when the rapper was arrested on a felony gun charge in Hollywood Hills. Along with the news of Lanez arrest, it was reported by TMZ that rapper Megan Thee Stallion had been present at the location. When Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she had suffered gunshot wounds in her foot at the scene, there was widespread speculation that Lanez had shot her & the smear campaign started with no one ever hearing Lanez side of the story the internet basically sided with Meg with no question .

In an Instagram Live session on August 20, Megan Thee Stallion said that Tory Lanez shot her. “Yes this n---a Tory shot me,” Megan said in the video. “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lyin’ and shit. Stop lyin’. Why lie?”

During the Instagram Live session, Meg also offered more details on the July 12 incident, stating that there were four people in the SUV when an argument broke out. Megan then said she exited the car to distance herself from the argument (As can be heard in the video below) . She then alleged that she was outside the vehicle when Tory Lanez shot at her while he was still inside the car (2 completely different stories). Megan had to undergo surgery to remove fragments from her gunshot wounds.
